The Big Theatre Campaign - The Tour

This was a 2 man free theatre tour that aimed bring the experience of professional live theatre to as many people as possible...and inspire them along the way! consisted of 100 performances in 50 consecutive days across the whole of Great Britain with venues in schools and public places. It is the largest free theatre tour Great Britain has ever seen. The tour itself was produced by Conor Lowson and Daniel Middlewood.

Being - The Performance 

The performance was about evolution and the way it has changed how we as people interact with each other. Physical Theatre, Classical, Comedy and Naturalism were all used to show the growth of the human race; from singular celled organisms’ right through to modern day. As the piece had to be shown in 100 different venue types it had to be made completely adaptable. There was no set, no stage, no lighting - just a space that 2 actors performed in. This highlighted why theatre in general is so special - as all you need to create it is a space and an actor(s)...and skill of course! The play was written, directed and produced by Conor Lowson & Daniel Middlewood.
